Work Dilemma

Tomorrow is my first office Christmas party. It is at McGrath’s fish house at 8:30am. Yes, that is right A.M.! I didn’t even know they served breakfast. I guess that’s because I don’t like sea food. Anyways, we will be having an ornament gift exchange and a most festive sweater contest. It is festive because definitions of ugly differ from person to person. So, what is ugly to one person may be cool to another.

I bought my ornament. I don’t like sea food. I don’t own a festive sweater.
I do own a red onesie that has sparkly snowflakes on it.
After tomorrow, I may be known at work as

“The New Girl Who Wore a Christmas Onesie to the Holiday Party!”

Or as

“The New Girl Who Didn’t Dress Up At The Holiday Party! (WHAT A GRINCH!)”

I’ll let you know who it turns out.

WHAT A GREAT DEAL

To anyone who likes to shop at Boarders.

Peter and I spent an hour in the Downtown Portland store because that store is closing and

EVERYTHING is on SALE!!

We got some amazing deals on some good books and movies. So, if you still have some people left on your Christmas list go here! Or go for yourself. Either way go soon because their stuff is being picked through very quickly.

A Christmas First

I experienced a Christmas first last weekend. I guess I had never seen Miracle on 34th Street. I always figured I had seen it since its such a traditional holiday movie. Well, I tuned in to watch it and it turns out I had a Christmas first at age 23. I liked the movie and may have to add it to my yearly holiday films.

Thats a wrap!

I love love love to wrap presents. When I was younger, I would beg my Mom every year to let me wrap the Christmas presents. Not only that, I wanted to wrap them a few weeks ahead of Christmas so the tree wouldn't look so bare. This would lead to problems because my Mom usually waited until a few days before Christmas to buy the gifts.

Well, this year it has all changed.

All gifts are purchased and I got to wrap them while listening to Christmas music and drinking peppermint tea. The tree looks fabulous with all the beautifully wrapped gifts underneath it.

I am a happy girl who is ready for the holidays :)

Movie

Pete and I went to see Easy A last night at the $3 theatre. We both really enjoyed it. There were some pretty funny parts.

I always think its funny how they cast 20 something year olds in high school movies. AND how things that are allowed to happen in the movies would never be allowed in a real high school. Dress code for instance!

Anyways, this is worth renting.

Work Week 1

40 hours of work a week is exhausting
I do not recommend it
